Native American Group #1 - Martin, Emilia, Michelle
We met in the library and read over the archival documents with the other Native American research group. We have mostly pinpointed that our research will be focusing on a comparison between the Theodore Roosevelt School and the Phoenix School. If we are able to find documents prior to the Indian Reorganization Act or any documents related to the curriculum at the T.R. school, we'd also like to compare the curricula of both schools and their respective changes after the Indian Reorganization Act. We also discovered that it will be extremely challenging to visit the NARA, as their hours are inconvenient and conflict with our class schedules. We understand that we have to do a lot more research, but we're wondering if it is absolutely vital that we visit the NARA to complete the project.

Yup. You must visit NARA at least once, with a good efficient plan of inquiry in mind. Use the docs on reserve to target specific parts of the NARA collection. A comparison between Phoenix and TRS is possible, but be more specific. Why? What do you hope to learn? What makes that interesting?
BTW, it is not too late to switch over to the UCI Special Collections investigation. Perhaps you will not find their distance and hours as prohibitive.
